After Care

  • If you want your jewelry to last and maintain its rich tones, prevent oxidation by storing you jewelry in a bag or box out of the sun.

  • Do NOT shower, swim, expose your jewelry to water. This will cause the patinas to come off, tarnish and speed up the oxidation process - especially with brass and copper.

Patinas do not last but can upheld for a long time if treated properly by following these guidelines:

  • For lighter, more fragile jewelry such as silver hoops, do NOT sleep with them in or put them in your pockets! This will cause them to bend, loose shape and cannot be fixed.

  • For polishing gold, brass, silver and copper I like to use Sunshine Cloth, which is added for free when purchasing my jewelry. Remember to NOT wash the cloth, it contains special micro-abrasives and a cleansing agents to take away the tarnish and bring back the shine.
